Nestled in the heart of Hamilton, Scotland, Lornebank Care Centre stands as a pillar of compassionate care within the local South Lanarkshire community. Lornebank offers 74 single rooms, each with ensuite facilities, across five units and two floors, ensuring residents have comfortable and private living spaces. Our home includes a spacious reception area, a café for residents and visitors, shared and private spaces within each unit, and a garden area with seating, which we love to use when the weather is fine.

Lornebank Care Centre has established itself as an exceptional care provider within the Hamilton community. The home receives many of its residents via the local authority of South Lanarkshire and operates at full or near full capacity most of the time. Residents are generally local to Hamilton but we also have folks from the neightbouring towns of Blantyre, Uddingston, Wishaw and Motherwell. We are Our recent Care Inspectorate report highlights the home's welcoming and supportive atmosphere, positive staff interactions, and effective management. Our Hamilton nursing home offers care services such as advanced dementia care, early-stage dementia support, general nursing care, and support for the frail elderly.

Rishi Sujeewon, manager of Lornebank Care Centre in Hamilton, embodies 25 years of unwavering dedication to the health and social care sector. His journey, beginning as a nurse in Mauritius and continuing in the UK from 2005, rapidly progressed to care home management by 2013. He further expanded his expertise by overseeing operations for multiple care businesses across South Lanarkshire, all while earning a degree in Management.

At our Hamilton care home, Rishi prioritizes person-centered care, emphasizing open communication and understanding individual needs.     Lisa, our favourite singer joined yesterday for some of our fav tunes and had the task of picking the winner (thanks for doing that Lisa!) of the Easter bonnet competition. Peacock won, and she is holding the champion bonnet.
    Yesterday we had a visit from a certain bunny who helped us find some hidden eggs.
    Over the weekend we had some lovely children visit us. These big hearted younguns took it upon themselves to go and say hello to each and every resident. How kind you all are. The best gift at Easter.

    Our Emma held a surprise baby shower as she is off soon to become a mother. Everyone wanted to wish her well and tell her that they would miss her. Best of luck in your maternity, we look forward to seeing you soon Emma.

    Margaret is over the moon about getting her hands on some wool to rekindle her love of knitting.
    Some gentle excersize and a bit of healthy collaboration between our residents. A lot of fun too....

    So nice that something so simple can give so much pleasure to someone. Cathie told us all how she would do her daughters hair with pleats and Shannon our carer enjoyed the fuss made of her! Lovely.
    Residents from all our suites are gearing up their production of Easter bonnets in preparation for judging. Without a hint of competition you understand!
    Over the weekend two of our residents with a lifelong devotion to Hamilton Academical Football Club 1874 had a look around the ground with essential reference material in hand. We intend to go back with other residents soon, one of our Lornebank residents was even a referee there, but suffice to say there were plenty of recollections and the Illustrated History of Hamilton Academicals proved a very handy tome. Up the Accies! #OneDreamOneFamily
    We are preparing our bonnets for Easter. Here is a lovely photo of Mary in her bonnet pre-transformation. We'll be posting up more bonnets next week.
    We have a winner of our Red Nose t-shirt design compeition. Peacock suite was voted by our family members as having the best design. It is certainly very colourful. Enjoy the treats folks!
    With the sun shining yesterday, we all got out to enjoy some madcap horse racing with staff and residents providing the horse power. Great to get outside and have some fun.
    Busy day yesterday. The Bingo super computer was doing what it does best and some of our residents came out winners! There is always time for Bingo!
    Marley came for his monthly visit yesterday and was warmly greeted by all his admirers. What a sweet dog he is and how we all enjoy meeting him.
    Over the weekend we tried a spot of FitBaw. What's that you ask? Well its exercises with a football. Thanks for your time Ben.
    A few of us got out yesterday to lunch at Monteray Jack's and then shot some ten pins at the Cosmic Bowl - M&D's to finish off.
    Such a priveledge to be sharing Sandy and Daisy's 71st wedding anniversery yesterday. It was truely an honour to help the lovely couple celebrate in style.
