Meet the Manager

To share a bit about me, I have 25 years of experience in the health and social care sector, which has provided me with the necessary grounding and knowledge to embark on this new and exciting journey at Lornebank Care Centre. I began my career as a nurse in Mauritius and continued in this role when I moved to the UK in 2005. I have since become a Care Home Manager in 2013, have held an Operational Manager role – overseeing two separate care businesses – and have completed a degree in Management. Ensuring the consistent provision of the highest quality care and support possible to residents, staff and relatives is my priority, and I very much look forward to the next chapter of my career here at Lornebank Care Centre.

Scarecrow Competition In the run-up to Halloween and as part of our Autumn festivities, Hudson Healthcare ran an inter-Home scarecrow competition in the month of October! We here at Lornebank Care Centre were delighted to get involved and wanted it to be as collaborative a project as possible. Our idea, based around a superhero theme and celebrity chosen by our residents, was to make two scarecrows. One scarecrow would be Spiderman, a favourite of many, and one would be Gordon Ramsay, a loved British Icon! Our final product was a great collaborative effort that wowed residents, staff and relatives! This was a fantastic experience for all involved and we are incredibly proud and grateful to all who helped. We would like to extend our congratulations to the winning Home, Pitkerro Care Centre, and watch out for next year’s competition.
