Weekly Update – w/c 23rd March

Amidst increased risks posed by coronavirus, we are committed to ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest quality of care for our residents in a safe and sterile environment.

On Mothering Sunday, we gave the residents their Mother’s Day gifts from their families. We decorated the Units and had afternoon tea with cupcakes and sparkling wine. We took the time to sit with each resident and open their cards and gifts with them. Some families came to the window to see their mothers which was very emotional.

Our residents also thoroughly enjoyed playing Bingo. We went round every Unit which really cheered our residents up as this is one of their favourite activities!

Later in the week, we hosted afternoon tea, with our residents enjoying cakes donated by our local Greggs. A huge thank you for the generous gift which brought so much joy and happiness to our home! Keeping with the same theme, a massive thank you to our local Dominoes, who kindly donated 20 pizzas to our staff to honour their hard work and commitment. We are so grateful and thankful to everyone sending us these thoughtful gits – they are certainly appreciated!
