Amidst increased risks posed by coronavirus, we are committed to ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest quality of care for our residents in a safe and sterile environment.
We were all thrilled to receive another beautiful letter from local school girl Grace. Her first letter brought such joy to us all at Harbour Residential and this letter did not disappoint! Grace’s lovely words brightened up the residents’ day. We all look forward to Grace visiting us once it becomes safe for her to do so!
Unit Manager Eva Healova and Care Assistant Lezette Navri were busy this week working on our new project ‘Caring Hands’, which has given our residents an opportunity to express their feelings through art. Painting with their hands, residents are provided with an emotional outlet, supported in a one-to-one session with a carer. In addition to providing emotional, physical and psychological support, our initiative promotes the importance of regular and thorough hand-washing at this time.
In honour of the 75th anniversary of VE day, we sang along to our favourite songs from the era, patriotically waving our country’s flag and enjoying some delicious British-inspired cupcakes. It was a great day had by all, bringing back our residents’ fond memories from the past during this challenging time.
