Last week, as part of our home’s trip around the world with food programme to celebrate diversity, our residents were delighted to experience a ‘Taste of China’. They were treated to a Chinese-themed lunch, which included Chinese braised beef served with egg fried rice, steamed prawn wontons, chicken chow mein and vegetables, followed by a banana fritter with ice cream. The tables were decorated with Chinese flags and a presentation on China’s history and culture, kindly put together by a member of staff, was given to the residents. The décor and the talk helped the residents to connect with their dining experience. Here at Harbour Residential, we recognise that many of our residents have enjoyed their travels and this event provided them with an opportunity to reminisce.
Looking ahead, we are very excited for our Cupcake Day event on 8th June. More information to come!
