Ducklings Nursery

Last week, a group of infants from Ducklings Nursery kindly paid us a visit for a messy arts and crafts painting session with our residents. It was a fantastic session, with one of our residents commenting on how lovely it was to be with the children and get creative!

Country and Western Day

At the end of January, we hosted a Country and Western themed day. All attendees had a fantastic time and staff joined in fancy dress. Residents sang and danced along to country music, with one particular resident commenting that they ‘didn’t want it to end’! What a brilliant day!

First Boogie Beats Session of the Year

Recently, we held the first Boogie Beats session of the year! The event included singing, dancing, storytelling and playing musical instruments. Our residents were thrilled to interact with the children, with one resident’s family member remarking that “watching them makes me cry with happiness.” We are already looking forward to our next session!

u3a Choir

The other week, professional choir u3a kindly paid us a visit. Our residents had a fabulous time singing and dancing along with the performers, especially to songs by Doris Day and Bette Midler! Chinese New Year

The other week, we had a visit from Amanda and the Creative Mojo team. We spent the afternoon painting scales, flames and spirals to create a dragon in honour of Chinese New Year! We are all very proud of the finished product!

3 Peak Challenge

Colour Therapy

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing and therapeutic colour therapy session held in the activities room. Tea and biscuits were on offer to all and hits from the 1950s and 1960s, as well as our favourite Andre Rieu songs, were on repeat in the background!

A Busy Few Weeks at Pitkerro

We had a visit from our friends at Rowan Tree Nursery the other week.
